Proof of ID/Address for Pickle Numbers- Why?

A quick overview on why it is necessary to provide a proof of ID and/or an address for your Pickle number.

Updated over 2 years ago

Why is this necessary?

Due to regulatory verification requirements, it is important to understand that depending on specific country regulations, it is no longer possible to purchase and use numbers in certain countries without providing proof of your identification/

address.
As a provider, Pickle must abide by these laws of the Australian Government and collect the documents and information required by the Australian Communications and Media Authority before validating your number for use.

Who has access to the data I submit?

At Pickle, data privacy is of the utmost importance to us. All information is securely collected, and your data is encrypted and protected to keep it safe.

I have submitted the information, what is next?

Once your information has been submitted, it can take up to 48 to 72 business hours to verify and validate it. Our carrier will review the submitted information to ensure that it is compliant with the Australian laws and regulations associated with the phone number type.

⚠️ Please note: Until your information is verified and validated, your number will be inactive and not compliant.

Number validation is a one-time process. Your submitted information is securely stored and will be reused if you create another number in the same geographic location. However, you may have to submit additional documentation when creating a number in a new number type or location.

Once your information is validated, you will receive an update regarding the confirmation, letting you know that your numbers have been verified.
