When you place a call on hold, the held party may hear either a ringing tone or music as determined by either your phone system administrator.

Holding a Call

To place a call on hold, during a call, press the Hold key or select Hold.

The screen will display the hold symbol, the speakerphone key will light up, and the phone will beep softly every 30 seconds to remind you that you still have a call on hold.

Resuming a Held Call

To resume a call press the Hold key again, select Resume, or press the corresponding line key. If multiple calls are placed on hold, select the desired call first.

When you have multiple calls on the phone and the current call is active, you can select Swap to swap to the held call.
