🔧 nbn® installation & activation – what to expect

Before installation

  • nbn® determines if a technician visit is required

  • You may need to ensure access to communications rooms or risers

  • Power must be available at the installation location

During installation

Depending on the connection type, nbn® may:

  • Install or activate an nbn NTD

  • Test the physical connection

  • Confirm signal levels

Pickle does not attend nbn® technician visits but can guide you on preparation.

After activation

Once nbn® confirms activation:

  • Pickle finalises service configuration

  • Your modem is connected and tested

  • Optional services (phones, lift phones) can be validated

Activation timelines can vary and are controlled by nbn®.
