Emergency Lift Phones are safety-critical systems. If a lift phone is not connecting, action should be taken promptly.
Step 1: Confirm power
Check:

ATA or LTE device has power

Power has not been interrupted

Any backup battery status (if installed)
Step 2: Identify hardware type
Pickle supports:

Gen 2: Single FXS port, single internal antenna

Gen 3: Dual FXS ports, external SMA antenna (up to ~10m)
Knowing the model helps narrow troubleshooting.
Step 3: Check signal or registration
For LTE-based systems:

Confirm antenna is securely connected

Ensure antenna placement is not shielded

Check device registration status
Step 4: Perform a test call
If calls fail:

Check cabling from lift controller

Confirm correct port usage

Verify monitoring centre details
