Step 1: Preparing for Installation

  1. Unbox your modem and check the contents.

  2. Locate your modem’s default gateway (192.168.0.1) and the admin login credentials (username and password) on the label at the back of the device. These credentials also provide access to your WiFi details.

  3. Ensure your modem is placed in a central location for optimal signal strength.

Step 2: Connecting Your Modem

For DSL Connection:

  1. Plug the grey DSL cable into the DSL port on the back of the modem.

  2. Connect the other end of the cable to your telephone wall socket.

  2. Run the test to check your internet speed and ensure it meets your expectations.

Step 7: Switching Modem Back to Fixed Network

If your modem defaults to the mobile network backup, follow these steps to reconnect to your fixed network:

  1. Check all cables: Ensure the DSL or Ethernet cables are securely connected to their respective ports.

  2. Reboot your modem: Insert a pin into the reset hole to initiate a reboot.

  3. Verify connection lights: Ensure the front light is green to confirm you are back on the fixed network.

Troubleshooting

  • No Internet: Check the DSL or WAN connection and restart the modem.

  • Slow Internet: Run a speed test and relocate the modem to a better position if needed.

  • Light Status Issues: Refer to the light indicators table to understand what might be wrong.
