How to Update and Configure Dinstar UC100 After the 3G Shutdown
With the 3G network shutdown, your Dinstar UC100 device may require reconfiguration to ensure uninterrupted functionality. This guide outlines the steps needed to update the firmware and configure the device for use with Pickle's VoIP service.
Step 1: Update to the Latest Firmware
Download the Firmware:
Visit the Dinstar firmware download link: http://fs.dinstar.com:8888/Firmware/UC/UC100/.
Install the Firmware:
Log in to your UC100 device interface.
Navigate to System > Firmware Update.
Upload the downloaded firmware file and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the update.
Step 2: Configure the Network Settings
Enable VoLTE
Navigate to Network > VoLTE Config.
Set the Status to Enabled.
Disable WLAN
Go to Network > WLAN.
Set WLAN Service to Disabled.
Step 3: System Settings
Navigate to System > Setting.
Apply the following configurations:
Timezone: Australia/Sydney
Date Format: DD-MM-YYYY
CDRs: Enabled
Hostname: Intercom
Step 4: Configure SIP Trunk for Pickle
Trunk/SIP Settings
Go to Trunk > SIP.
Input the following settings:
Name: Pickle
Address: voip.thinkpickle.com.au
Port: 5060
Outbound Proxy: voip.thinkpickle.com.au
Transport: TCP
Status: Enabled
Call Routing
Navigate to Call Control > Route.
Set the routing rules:
Source: FXS Extension
Destination: SIP Trunk / Pickle
Step 5: Configure FXS Settings
Profile/FXS
Navigate to Profile > FXS.
Set the Tone Group to Australia.
Speed Dial
Go to Profile > Speed Dial.
Create an empty speed dial entry with the following details:
Index: 1
Name: Intercom
FXS Extension
Navigate to Extension > FXS.
Set the Speed Dial to 1 - Intercom.
Step 6: Set the Device Password
Navigate to System > Password.
Change the device password from defaults
Optional: Configure DDNS for Remote Access
If remote access is required, configure Network > DDNS. However, this step is optional and may require additional time.
